The Northern Lights Tea Company was founded in the summer of 2006.  We started our retail business in 2007 as a "shop in shop" in Danish Bohemia, a beautiful gift shop on Grand Avenue in St. Paul, Minnesota. Since then, we have enjoyed supplying our growing customer base with the finest teas from all around the world. 

In May 2008, our tiny location was no longer able to grow with us and we moved into our present spot in the Downtown Minneapolis Skyway System the following September. With over 190 of the finest teas from Asia to South America and a special emphasis on Japanese teas, you will surely find a favorite. At The Northern Lights Tea Company, we are committed to reducing our carbon foot print -- our search for the best tasting organic and fair trade teas is never ending and our delicious collection grows and grows. We also have a great selection of tea pots, infusers, mugs, kettles and other tea paraphernalia.

Encouraged by our loyal customers, we are now taking our first steps in e-commerce.
